I've been using this style tiger warmer for over 7 years and love it. I'm buying a larger quantity to sell to patients of mine. It warms the metal sleeve that goes over the moxa stick and you adjust the heat by how far out the moxa stick comes from the holder. Previous reviewer just didn't know how to use it..

I work with animals and this moxa holder is fabulous for animals.. They LOVE IT! Excellent for arthritic conditions, cold damp conditions, you can work right through the fur and it won't burn them.

I like using it on people too because you can massage through clothes or directly on the skin.

The small amount of smoke given off by the sticks makes for way less smoke than traditional sticks..

A few pointers -- Buy the smokeless sticks and keep them in a safe place because they can break easily as they are narrow and fragile. Don't loose the spring that holds the sleeve apart from the moxa holder. Play with it on yourself first before using it on someone..

The larger one is nice too! And there's a lion warmer that I'd like to get one day!
