REALLY strong peppermint scent, it will make your eyes tear up--in fact, you won't be able to open your eyes and it does sting when used too close to the eyes. They are made out of some soft fiber, not paper. And yes, I gave it 5 stars because it works great for my applications, and the strong scent serves many purposes. The strong peppermint is very cooling, it helps chill down worked up body heat, it open the airways for breathing, it cleans and refreshes, it good as an emergency disinfectant, and the strong peppermint scent keeps bugs away! I get lots of multiple uses out of this one product and the towelettes lasts. When using the peppermint in public, you might want to consider, as it repels bugs, it can repel people too--the scent is that strong. If you do use it near the eyes and it stings, fan air over your eyes to dissipate the scent for quick relief. You don't have to be concern about this if you keep the wipe away from your eyes. As stated, I like this product very much because for its strong peppermint scent. I also like the Grapefruit ones by Giovanni--in fact, the Grapefruit is my favorite, but because I'm outdoors a lot the Peppermint is equally adored. I'm not fond of the Lavender, too flowery and I presume it would not work well outside as it may attract nectar gathering insects. No sense adding to their confusion with my discomfort. The package-pouches have sharp corners which can give you a good jam so snip a *tiny* bit of the pointed corners off for safe keeping when on the go.

These towelettes are very convenient, cleans and refreshes, and they remain moist for a decent time when it's out of the pouch. One towelette goes a long way and the peppermint has multiple uses.
