This product works well for single story chimneys. The packaged rod length is 18ft. If you have a two story chimney stack, buy a second kit or the extension kit. But be aware. The longer the reach the more torque is put on your drill. 18ft or less a 14.4v cordless drill is ok. Anything taller needs more power and is harder to control (up to 24ft is manageable). My chimney is 28ft tall and was a little awkward to assemble all the rods. A second person to guide the rods is helpful for tall stacks.

Attention all DIYers: Plan carefully how you bag your cleanout for your soot waste. Follow all manufacturers' directions. This kit requires you to place a trash bag at the base of the stack. Use a durable trash bag for this.
