I've been using Herbatint for three years since I discovered how dangerous breathing the toxins and absorbing them through the scalp are. I've always used Platinum Blonde (10n)and it's such a pretty color. The last time I ordered I decided I needed to change to a natural blond shade so I got #8D Light Golden Blonde. One thing I like about it..and it's a great big plus.. is that aprox 10 years ago when my hair turned gray .. everything I tried washed out in a few shampoos.. I tried everything because I didn't want to bleach/strip my hair..I wanted to 'color' it. I tried everything, even getting it colored professionally. When that washed out, my hair dresser said some gray just will not hold color and my only option was to bleach it.. that's when I started using Herbatint and have loved it.... Ok, the good and the bad about the new shade - The good: It actually doesn't wash out! Not in the least.. it's been about five shampoos and it's not lightened in the least. The bad: I got the lightest Herbatint has to offer (after the platinum) not wanting to go very much darker ..just enough to put a little color in to look more natural.. well it's every bit as dark as the picture on the box.. that is not what I call "Light" blond. To me it's more of a medium brown. But that's ok at least now I know the color doesn't wash out..The next time I intend to mix half Platinum and half Light Blond.. but not the Golden Blond because it has way too much red for my taste.. I STILL LOVE HERBATINT.
