My son used to take the Emergen C for kids when he was little. Then they changed the formula and added IRON! Horror show for him. So we stopped using it. I couldn't find anything that had the same benefits as this. I happened to be in Pathmark (cheaper on Amazon) and saw this NEW formula (which is the old formula LOL) WITHOUT the iron. I was soooo happy and purchased it and I feel so much better now that my son is getting his vitamins again. He loves the taste and it's good. The aspartic acid is NOT aspartame. I checked into it. LOVE IT!!!!!
