This is my second brace. The first was a breg offloader. The breg brace hurt and didn't stay up. It was always slipping down. I found this brace online and showed it to the pt that my knee doctor sent me to and told her that the breg brace just wasn't working out. She then said "Oh, I have a catalog from that company, I just never order from them ...". But she did give me a contact number for a rehab company that did and I was able to save money and have someone fit it for me. From the very first day, it immediately helped my pain. My knee is bone on bone. I've been able to wear the brace several hours a day without any problem. The pads have a silicone like substance that make the brace stay where it's supposed to be and not slip.

I had to pay out of pocket ($498) for this brace because my insurance wouldn't pay for another brace. Shop around for this brace if you decide to get it and get someone to help you measure for the brace. Call ossur for help in measuring if you need to. This brace is lower profile than the breg brace and I can wear it under most of my jeans. But being summer time, I'm wearing shorts every day. I've had the brace for about a month and I like it so much better than the breg off loader one.
