My deck needed a good cleaning. It had been 2 years since it was cleaned. I used to clean my deck with TSP and bleach but have read lately how the bleach can damage the wood so I used DeckBrite. I used a garden hose to wet the deck with water and then sprayed the product on using a manual pump pressure sprayer. I waited 10 minutes per section (4 boards at a time) and then scrubbed the deck by hand with a small brush & then rinsed well with a garden hose. You can actually see the product working because it foams. The dirt came right off using a brush and I didn't use a lot of elbow grease. The results were amazing! I could have tried scrubbing with a broom which would have been much easier but I didn't do that because I wanted to get as much dirt off as possible. I didn't use a pressure washer because I don't want to damage the wood on my deck. I am very happy with the results.
